Listen in an External Player

You can listen to radyoilef without opening a browser. Music players such as Winamp, AIMP, VLC and foobar2000 — and internet radio devices — can open the addresses below directly.

STEP BY STEP, PER PLAYER

Winamp
  1. Open Winamp.
  2. Press Ctrl+L (menu: File → Play URL).
  3. Paste the direct stream address shown above.
  4. Click Open; playback starts within a few seconds.
  5. Older Winamp builds cannot open HTTPS addresses — use the PLS playlist address instead.
AIMP
  1. Open AIMP and click the Add (+) button in the playlist panel.
  2. Choose Add URL from the menu.
  3. Paste the direct stream address shown above and confirm.
  4. Double-click the radyoilef entry that appears in the playlist.
  5. If an old radyoilef address is still in your playlist, remove it — it is no longer valid.
VLC
  1. Go to Media → Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N).
  2. Paste the direct stream address shown above.
  3. Click Play.
foobar2000
  1. Go to File → Add location… (Ctrl+U).
  2. Paste the direct stream address shown above and click OK.
  3. Double-click the new entry in the playlist.
Internet radio devices (Hama, Sonos, Yamaha…)
  1. Open the device's app or web portal (UNDOK app or the Airable portal for Hama devices).
  2. Find the My Station / Add Station / custom URL section.
  3. Enter the PLS playlist address shown above; if the device rejects it, try the M3U or the direct stream address.
  4. Do not enter the website address (radyoilef.ankara.edu.tr) — that is a web page and the device will not find an audio stream there.
  5. If the device does not support secure (HTTPS) connections, write to us and we will set up an address that works for it.
Phone and tablet
  1. The simplest way is to open radyoilef.ankara.edu.tr and press play.
  2. To use an app, paste the direct stream address into the add station / add URL section of VLC, RadioDroid or a similar app.
  3. Background playback and lock-screen controls are handled by the app's own settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • If an old address is still saved in your player or device, delete it and add the address above again.
  • On an internet radio device, enter the stream or playlist address — not the website address (radyoilef.ankara.edu.tr). The website is a web page, not an audio stream.
  • If one address is rejected, try PLS instead of M3U (or the other way round); some players only recognise one of them.
  • If your device only accepts a plain http:// address, write to us and we will send you one that fits.
  • If nothing plays at all, run the stream diagnostics page — it shows immediately whether the problem is on our side or on your connection.
